Me Before You is a romance drama film that was released in cinemas on the 3rd June 2016 and is about a girl called Louisa Clark (Emilia Clarke)who needs to get a new job after being fired from a cafe, she gets a new job as a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin) after he was paralysed in a motorbike accident 2 years before. I like this film because the story line was intriguing and it kept me on edge the whole time. Also the story line was easy to follow because the story line was also simple however the acting was incredible which meant that the film made me: as an audience member. Emotional as i was watching the film.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
The Hunger Games; Mockingjay Part 2 is a dystopian science fiction war film that was released 19th November 2015. This film is the last in The Hunger Games franchise and was directed by Francis Lawrence. The film sets of after Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) wakes up after being strangled by Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), after Peeta was rescued from the capital by District 13, the film ends in and epic battle between the rebels and the capital with Katniss as there Mockingjay. I enjoyed this film because of the action that was there from the beginning, there were also plot twists through out the whole film. Also the CGI in the films was amazing, especially the mutts that attacked the rebels.
Suffragettes
Suffragette is a British historical period drama film that was released 12th October 2015 and was directed be Sarah Gavron. It follows the story of one women Maud Watts (Carey Mulligan) who helped the suffragettes gain the right to vote for women and how after meeting Emmeline Pankhurst she decides to join them. I really enjoyed this movie because the suffragettes movement is getting recognised through the power of the modern day media. It also has a good message behind it; that no matter what it is if you believe in it then you should fight for it, just like the suffragettes.
The Maze Runner is an American dystopian science fiction thriller film and was released 10th October 2014 and was directed by Wes Ball. It starts with a teenage boy waking up in an elevator with no idea who he is or where he is. He enters a grassy area where he greats a boy called Alby (Aml Ameen) who is the leader of the gladers when in a fight with a boy named Gally (Will Poulter) the boy remembers that his name is Thomas (Dyaln O'Brian) the gladers know that there only escapes is to get through the maze after finally exiting the maze they are told that this is an experiment and they have now entered stage 2. I love this film because of the storyline which is constantly filled with action there is also a massive plot twist at the end which leaves us on a cliff hanger.
How to Be Single
How to be Single is a American romance comedy film which was released 19th February 2016 and was directed by Christian Ditter. It follows the life of Alice (Dakota Johnson) when she moves to New York City and meets Robin (Rebel Wilson) who is all about the life of the party it follows her journey as she try's to figure out who she is, whilst parting, running in to her ex boyfriend and working at her new job at the same time her sister, Meg (Leslie Mann) who is a OB/GYN and decides to get IVF and a women called Lucy (Alison Brie) is trying to find her dream man. I really enjoyed this film because it had more that one storyline that was going on at one time so there was never a boring scene in this film as something was always happening. Also this film was very humorous which made it such a good film.
From doing this i have learnt about alot of different shots and how they change a scene within a movie.
